Why Maine Coon?
We love this wonderful breed for a beautiful character, a wonderful, steady type of the nervous system, for show temperament, for the fact that Maine Coons are oriented and tied to a person. Their character is very similar to the character of dogs. They are large, good and playful cats. Maine Coon are recommended for lonely people, because these breed has a kind of humor sense and can perfectly color the loneliness, and in the family with children. Maine Coons are perfectly used with other animals, small dogs and cats of other breeds, they have intelligence, exposure, they are hardy, graceful and very beautiful. With animals of such breed will not be sad never!
All our lives are connected with fluffy furry friends. Our path in felinology began in 1999. Then Maine Coons were in Ukraine rare, only few people knew it and it was almost an unattainable breed. And at that time we were engaged in cats of the Persian breed.
But Maine Coons could not remain past our attention and over time we began to be interested in this wonderful breed. We studied the corresponding materials on the Internet, acquainted and communicated with the owners of Maine Kuns in our club and on exhibitions. We were delighted with the gigantic sizes of representatives of this breed, their temperament and "wild look" of Maine Coon. It was time, we already had some theoretical experience in the breed, but we did not dare to buy our first Maine Coon. And this finally happened in a completely unexpected place. We went to a pet store and saw a girl that was for sale in a cage. At first glance, she liked us. And we made a decision on the same day. In addition, our experience in the standards of the breed prompted us about her good breed type. Two days we have enough to prepare a place in the house and collect the amount of money. And finally, our first Maine Coon Umma arrived in our home!
Later we realized that we did not make a mistake. Umma has repeatedly participated in the show, the judges told us about her beautiful breed type. In a few years she had a Grand Inter Champion Title! When we still communicated with the breeders, they told a strange phrase "Maine Coons never be a lot". The meaning of this phrase we have understood later when new Maine Coons began to appear in our house. Soon our three-flat apartment was not enough for us and our Maine Coons. And we purchased a large house in the countryside next to our native Kharkiv. We purchased several cats of different lines, including abroad. We built for them courtyard for walking, where our Maine Coons can live in a warm time of the year in conditions close to nature. Now our Cattery GattoFantastico is a famous cattery of Maine Coons both in Ukraine and far beyond. Our cattery regularly take part in the show of various felinological systems and collect high awards in the competitions among the breed of Maine Coon, and in all breeds.
The kittens of our cattery live in 17 countries in almost all continents in addition to Australia and South America. Some of them successfully participate in the show in their countries and represent our cattery GattoFantastico!
